The scientific name of Charoli is “Buchanania lanzan”. It is a deciduous tree of the Anacardiaceae plant family. Grown in India: Charoli is found growing naturally as wild stand in the tropical deciduous forests of the north, western and central India mostly in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.
